My Therapeutic Style

My approach to therapy is compassionate, real, and engaging. I want to meet you exactly where you are—without pressure, without judgment, and with a genuine desire to understand your story. Together, we’ll uncover what’s getting in the way, make sense of old patterns, and build new ways of coping that feel both practical and empowering.

Throughout sessions, you can expect warmth, humor, honesty, and direction. I draw from a blend of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Attachment Theory, Positive Psychology, as well as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) (Specific for couples) and Child led Play Therapy (for children).

Three core elements shape my approach. First, I am direct and intentional with our time, helping us stay focused on what matters most to you. Second, I am action-oriented, consistently looking for practical ways to create meaningful change and support progress between sessions. Third, my work is grounded in an emotion-focused and trauma-informed lens, where I pay close attention to the deeper emotional patterns and past experiences that may be influencing present challenges.

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know your story, your history, what’s bringing you in, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll guide the conversation with thoughtful questions when helpful, while also making space for you to lead and share what feels most important. This initial session is meaningful to me, as it sets the foundation for a strong, trusting relationship and helps ensure our work together feels aligned with your needs and goals.

Ultimately, I want to help you build practical skills, develop helpful and supportive perspectives, and strengthen your ability to set clear, healthy boundaries. Over time, this creates a foundation that allows you to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, clarity, and a stronger sense of alignment with who you want to be.

Therapy with me isn’t just about insight; it’s about action. We’ll move at your pace, turning awareness into real change—helping you feel more confident, connected, and grounded in your daily life. Growth looks different for everyone, but my hope is that through our work, you’ll leave feeling more like yourself again, capable, clear, and ready for what’s next.
